Xiaomi, a major Chinese technology firm, announced at a consumer electronics trade show in Berlin that it intends to enter the European electric vehicle market next year. The company’s automotive division, Xiaomi Auto, has already taken steps to establish a physical presence by signing agreements with eight car dealer groups in Germany. This move marks a significant step in the company's international growth strategy.

This expansion comes at a time of heightened tension regarding the automotive trade between China and the European Union. The EU has recently implemented tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles, citing concerns over unfair state subsidies.
