Xiaomi has introduced its latest flagship devices, the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, in the Chinese market. The new handsets build upon the design language of the previous 17 Pro series, retaining the distinctive rear-facing secondary displays. A significant technical update in the new lineup is the integration of a more flexible version of privacy display technology, a feature that first appeared on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this year.

Internally, both models are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chips and include dual 200-megapixel camera sensors. While the 17 Pro series was restricted to the Chinese market, Xiaomi has confirmed that the 18 Pro series will receive a wider international launch later this year. The devices maintain a physical aesthetic closely aligned with the previous generation, though the company claims the display technology represents a functional improvement over existing market alternatives like those found in Samsung's current flagship offerings.
